What to send
We're looking for pieces that do one or more of these things:
-Make us stop and look at something differently.
-Find magic in the ordinary.
-Push back, gently or otherwise, on accepted rules, received wisdom, and the way things are supposedly done.
-Leave us with a question to ponder.
-Hold the reader in your world for a while.
Some Guidelines
We are open-minded and accept multi-media pitches, as long as they fit the broader theme of attentiveness. Essays, letters, flash fiction, photography, illustration, etc. - all welcome here.
As a general rule, we look for pieces between 500 and 3000 words, though we do make exceptions.
We're still in our humble beginnings, and this is mostly a for-fun project. That said, we do pay all of our contributors. Rates vary depending on the length and style of the piece.
We read everything. So please bear with us! It may take some time to get back to you, but we will.
